Terms of Service
By downloading, installing, or using Strict Mode, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Description of software
Strict Mode is a desktop application for software development. It runs locally on your machine using Electron and provides an interface for AI model orchestration with integrated terminal access, file system operations, and session-based project management.
License grant
Subject to these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Strict Mode for personal and commercial software development purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the software except as permitted
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the software
- Use the software to build a competing product
Data and privacy
Strict Mode runs locally on your machine. Your project data, configuration, and session history are stored on your device using localStorage and the local file system. No data is transmitted to Strict Mode servers.
API keys you provide for third-party AI services are stored using your operating system's secure credential storage (Electron safeStorage) and are never transmitted to Strict Mode's infrastructure.
Terminal access
Strict Mode provides integrated terminal functionality using node-pty. Commands executed through the terminal run with your user-level system permissions. You are solely responsible for the commands executed within the application, whether initiated manually or by AI agents operating within the session pipeline.
Third-party AI services
Strict Mode facilitates interaction with third-party AI model providers (Anthropic). Your use of those services is governed by the respective provider's terms of service.
Strict Mode does not control, monitor, or store the content of your interactions with third-party AI services beyond what is stored locally on your machine as part of session history.
Intellectual property
Strict Mode and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Strict Mode and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Code you write or generate using Strict Mode belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your projects, session outputs, or any artifacts produced through your use of the software.
Disclaimer of warranties
The software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall Strict Mode, its authors, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the software.
Modifications to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your license to use the software at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and delete all copies.
